The villages Prosiek a Kvačany in region Liptov are generally known as starting points for the trips to the most beautiful and most visited of the Slovak valleys - Prosiecka dolina and Kvačianska dolina.
The Červené piesky waterfall (Red sands waterfall) is located in the magnificent area of the Prosiecka valley, surrounded by the Chočské mountains and it is about 15-metre long. It is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Slovakia. You can get to the waterfall from the Vidová rázcestie (Vidová junction) in the Prosiecka valley. There is a short path leading to the blind valley of Červené piesky, where the waterfall is situated. Dry periods turn the waterfall into a trickle of water, so the best time to see the waterfall in its full beauty is in spring or after heavy rains. You can choose to continue hiking from here. The neighbouring Kvačianska valley, which is known for its wonderful nature, will welcome you with its open arms. It is most beautiful in spring, when the meadows are in full bloom and the whole area is surrounded by deep green trees.

An untraditional timber building with a private fishpond is situated in the village of Liptovská Sielnica, not far from the water reservoir Liptovská Mara just 5 minutes drive to Water park Tatralandia, 10 minutes drive to Water park Bešeňová and just a minute to an agro-tourism riding area.
The Ráztocký waterfall lies in the lower part of the Ráztocká valley, approximately 60 m away from the place where the Ráztocká valley connects with the Kvačianska valley. The waterfall is hidden in a stone gorge and falls from the height of about eight metres. In summer, it is surrounded by rich vegetation. Spring is the time when you can see it in its full beauty and in winter, the waterfall transforms into an ice cascade. You can climb the ladder to get to the top of the waterfall but use caution as the ladder can be slippery. The waterfall is accessible from Veľké Borové. You can choose to continue hiking down the canyon of the Ráztocká valley to the settlement of Jóbova Ráztoka. The Ráztocká valley is the perfect location for families with children and occasional tourists.
Experts classify water mills in the valley Kvačianska dolina among the mountain type of mills. They stand in what is often referred to as a most beautiful Slovak valleys, in the mountain range Chočské vrchy. This is one of the last surviving monuments of its kind and in its natural environment.
