Our hut is situated near the village of Huty, on a boundary line between two regions. Huty is located in an attractive tourist area of Roháče Mountains, which gives this place peculiarity and beautiful surroundings. The village is located so that it separates the Western Tatras – Roháče and the Choč´s Mountains.
The ideal location enables summer hiking in massifs of Roháče and recreational tourism in the Choč´s Mountains. This is the right starting point to the regions of Liptov and Orava (within close proximity to the dams Liptovská Mara and Oravská Priehrada) where visitors can enjoy walks, cycling tours and water attractions. If you get tired of walking and hiking, water parks Bešeňová, Tatralandia and Oravice will be the best places to take a rest.
Regions of Orava and Liptov offer skiing in winter months in favourite ski resorts not so far from the village of Zuberec. Other attractive sports are cross-country skiing and alpine tours. This magical place is located on the main road of the village of Zuberec and the town of Liptovský Mikuláš.

Experts classify water mills in the valley Kvačianska dolina among the mountain type of mills. They stand in what is often referred to as a most beautiful Slovak valleys, in the mountain range Chočské vrchy. This is one of the last surviving monuments of its kind and in its natural environment.
The villages Prosiek a Kvačany in region Liptov are generally known as starting points for the trips to the most beautiful and most visited of the Slovak valleys - Prosiecka dolina and Kvačianska dolina.

Ski center Žiar Dolinky is located at the foot of the southern hillslopes of the mountain range called the West Tatras, 10 km far from Liptovský Mikuláš. The overall length of the ski slopes is 0,65 km. The center is suitable for the beginners, but also for more demanding skiers.
The museum, a permanent exhibition, has been open in new premises since August 2010 - a building next to the Gothic Church of the Sacrifice of the Lord (Catholic Church).
The Gothic Church of the Presentation of the Lord (in honor of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary) is the oldest building in Smrečany, which foundations were built in 1349. It is a single-nave building with a square sanctuary with crossed massive Roman ribs bridging the building in the east side and with an adjacent sacristy on the north side.
