Jánska Valley is one of the most beautiful and the longest valleys in the Low Tatras Mountains. A brook Štiavnica which rises under Mt Ďumbier, the highest peak of the mountains (2,043 m asl.), flows through the valley.

Ďumbier (2,043 m or 6,703 ft) is the highest mountain in the Low Tatra range, in central Slovakia. Despite the remains of medieval mines (gold, iron, antimony), the massif is now protected as a part of the Low Tatras National Park.

The Stanisovska cave is situated in the Liptovský Mikuláš district, in the territory of Liptovský Ján. The entrance is on the northwestern slope of Smrekovica in the Low Tatras National Park at elevation of 761 m, and 39 m below the level of Štiavnica Brook.

Meadows on the edge of the road in Jánska Valley is spring, which is called Nadina spring. She got the name of the daughter of a pharmacist Zufa of Liptovsky Mikulas.

“Kamenná chata ” is the third highest located alpine cottage (following the cottages Rysy and Téry in the High Tatras) located at an altitude of 2,000 m on the main ridge of the Low Tatra Mountains, just beneath the peak of Chopok.
