Pavlova Ves
Pavlova Ves is a village and municipality in Liptovský Mikuláš District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1469 AD. The municipality lies at an altitude of 622 metres and covers an area of 6.83km². It has a population of about 250 people.

Najstaršia zachovaná listina hovorí o vzniku obce v roku 1400, podobne ako susedný Bobrovček. S týmto rokom vzniku nemôžeme súhlasiť. Vo Vlastivednom zborníku "Liptov" vyšla štúdia Dr. Ferdinanda Uličného pod názvom Osídlenie Liptova do 16. storočia, v ktorej sa pri opise vzniku susedného Bobrovca uvádza, že z majetku Bobrovca bol v roku 1283 vyčlenený majetok Pavlovej Vsi Radune a Demeterovi. Kto sú tieto osoby? Mohli by to byť deti Pavla, ktorého meno nesie naša obec. Osoba Pavla je doteraz neznáma. Bol to však určite niekto, kto dostal územie v Pavlovej Vsi. Tu sa usídlil, a pracoval a žil. S určitosťou možno povedať, že tu mal svoje sídlo, možno nejaký domček, možno majer, možno niečo iné. Ak tu teda Pavol žil a aj býval, mohlo sa uvedené sídlo pomenovať ako ves (Ves je zastaraný tvar v slovenskom jazyku a označuje malú osadu, dedinu, obyčajne s poľnohospodárskym obyvateľstvom).
