The hunting lodge of “Poľovnícka chata pod Kozím“ (“Hunting lodge under the Goat”) is the original name of the hunting shelter, which was built in 1960s by hunters from Černová and Ružomberok.

Its location is interesting, because it is situated under the main ridge of the Veľká Fatra Mountains and it is only a one-hour walk away from "Sedlo pod Vtáčnikom” which is the crossroad of the main trail artery of the Veľká Fatra Mountains. The lodge is suitable as a shelter throughout the year.

The completely reconstructed building offers another attractive tip for easy family trip. Since the valley is closed in the length of about 5 km for motor vehicles, the newly renovated building is an interesting destination with an offer of seasonal refreshments. It is another interesting starting point for hikes to the ridge of Veľká Fatra. It will be appreciated not only by summer time tourists, but also by winter sports enthusiasts (cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering...).
