Pumped hydroelectric energy storage Čierny Váh consists of two tanks.

The upper reservoir was built on a hill in a place called „Vyšné sokoly“ at an altitude of 1,160 m asl. The second part of the plant with water reservoir was built in the valley at an altitude of 733 m asl. The pumped hydroelectric energy storage is the largest of its kind in Slovakia. The upper reservoir offers panoramic views of the whole region of Liptov, and the Western and High Tatras.

    The Važecká Cave

    The Važecká Cave is one of the most known caves in the northern Slovakia. Though by length it belongs among the short show caves, it is known by occurrence of rich dripstone decoration, remarkable findings of cave bear bones, as well as by rare cave fauna.

    The Stanisovska cave is situated in the Liptovský Mikuláš district, in the territory of Liptovský Ján. The entrance is on the northwestern slope of Smrekovica in the Low Tatras National Park at elevation of 761 m, and 39 m below the level of Štiavnica Brook.

    Eco farm Važec was founded in 1960 and is located in northern Slovakia in a beautiful area in between two national parks – High Tatras (TANAP) and Low Tatras (NAPANT).
