Náučný chodník od ústia Žiarskej doliny k Žiarskej chate

Náučný chodník Žiarska dolina má celkom päť zastavení a pätnásť tematických oblastí, tri informačné tabule a dva smerovníky.
Umiestnenie informačných tabúľ je nasledovné:
Prvá sa nachádza pri otočke autobusu SAD, druhá je umiestnená v hornej časti odstavných plôch. Táto informuje návštevníkov o náučnom chodníku, ktorí peši pokračujú na Žiarsku chatu.
Tretia informačná tabuľa je umiestnená pri Žiarskej chate a informuje návštevníkov, ktorí odchádzajú zo Žiarskej chaty po náučnom chodníku.
Náučný chodník má päť zastavení.
Prvé je v ústí Žiarskej doliny pri Bani a na jednotlivých paneloch sú uvedené tri tematické okruhy (Žiarska dolina, obec Žiar – krátka história, obyvatelia Žiaru vo vojnách).
Druhé zastavenie je pri treťom moste, a ďalšie dva pod Hladkým a na Mlákach, kde chodník prechádza po pôvodnej starej ceste na Žiarsku chatu. Tematické okruhy fauna, flóra, potok Smrečianka, horstvá, lavíny, chov oviec – salašníctvo.
Posledné zastavenie je pri Žiarskej chate a obsahuje tematické okruhy - stará Žiarska chata a história zjazdového lyžovania. Pri sprievodných textoch, ktoré sú v slovenskom a anglickom jazyku, sú umiestnené aj fotografie.
Žiarska dolina patrí medzi najnavštevovanejšie doliny Západných Tatier. Predurčujú ju na to prírodné krásy a ľahká dostupnosť, je vzdialená len 12 km od centra Liptova - mesta Liptovský Mikuláš. Záver doliny tvoria mohutné štíty a hrebene. Návštevníci doliny, turisti, účastníci rodinných a školských výletov ocenia informácie, ktoré im fotografie a texty na paneloch náučného chodníka poskytnú v lone tichej ešte neporušenej tatranskej prírody.

The Gothic Church of the Presentation of the Lord (in honor of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary) is the oldest building in Smrečany, which foundations were built in 1349. It is a single-nave building with a square sanctuary with crossed massive Roman ribs bridging the building in the east side and with an adjacent sacristy on the north side.

This ski center is located directly in the town of Liptovský Mikuláš and is well accessible. It is only 2 km to the center of the town from here. There is a ski slope with a length of 700 m available for skiers.

Experts classify water mills in the valley Kvačianska dolina among the mountain type of mills. They stand in what is often referred to as a most beautiful Slovak valleys, in the mountain range Chočské vrchy. This is one of the last surviving monuments of its kind and in its natural environment.
